About Matt Foree

Matt Foree is a litigator with large law firm experience in many practice areas. Matt began his practice as a labor and employment attorney with a mid-size Atlanta law firm, where he primarily represented employers in employment discrimination matters. After approximately three years in this area, Matt left to work for an AMLAW 100 law firm in Atlanta where he practiced in the litigation department. His experience includes complex commercial litigation, construction, torts, and contract disputes. Taking this ample experience and training, Matt has started The Foree Law Firm, P.C. to provide top-notch, large law firm quality work at a fraction of the cost. In addition, Matt is happy to be able to provide the highest level of personal attention to his clients.

Matt is also a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional. As such, Matt is trained in the benefits of green building. He is one of a small number of attorneys in Georgia with the LEED AP credential. Matt welcomes the opportunity to assist you on your next green building project, whether in an attorney capacity for the preparation of contracts, or as a consultant assisting the team in its efforts to achieve LEED certification.

Obtained $238,000 jury verdict in construction default case.

Obtained settlement in the full amount of the cost to repair client's defective renovations.

Assisted in defeating motion to dismiss based on alleged spoliation of evidence that threatened to dismiss design team’s claims in multi-million dollar case involving design of international airport terminal.

Successfully defended mortgage refinance lenders in the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and against Petition for Writ of Certiorari to U.S. Supreme Court filed by bankruptcy trustee regarding alleged bankruptcy preferences.

Obtained favorable settlement for consultant to Japanese company for multiple contract breaches.

Obtained favorable settlement of defamation and tortious interference claims for sports photography company.

Obtained favorable settlement of full amount sought in complaint on the eve of trial from insurance company in a property damage case for a paper distributor.
